The cusp before spandex but has no problem keeping up!

I've been commuting for 9+ years, gone from pure fix single speed hi ten frames to 4130 steel road bikes for commuting needs but decided to upgrade to something that could deliver more power to the ground and it didn't disappoint with this model. Definitely a strong bang for the buck. Took it on a 50 mile trip after test ride and performed above the price point IMO. Great frame to build on or buy it stock and upgrade as components wear out. Seems like it was made for the generation of riders where they run urban sprints for years but want something to keep up with the roadie buddies and show out in style and speed. Have no problem ditching friends on their e bikes and can definitely climb once you get used to the gearing. Your body, cadence, and mind get in sync easy with a 1x drivetrain that's hard to explain in words but you feel quicker, cadence stride in easier than a shimano claris(IMO) and can sprint downhills easier. If it quick on the single speed, you'll fly and stop fast on this. As with all bikes, upgrade the tires for ur needs and seat to match ur bum. Bike begs to be ridden fast.

Encourages speed & enough bike for the majority

Been looking for a upgrade from a 30lb 4130 claris roadbike, to a bike that begs to be ridden fast but won't put me on a 3 yr payment plan and landed here. I logged a few hundred miles in first couple weeks and I honestly think it gets better after the break in period. It gets beat up in Roady reviews but they're also comparing it to bikes that are 3 times as much. At the end of the day it's 90% rider and training and this bike allows you to push the pace and yourself to reasonably dangerous pace but safe as well. If you're a person that likes to sprint for miles at a time and don't have 6k for a superbike, this is ur jam. Just ride it, FAST.

Amazing bike

Really happy with this upgrade. I went from a single speed to the Undefeated Disc Road bike and its just such a nice upgrade for me to really learn more about the sport of cycling. Thanks!

Sweet bike

I would say take the box to a bike mechanic when it arrives. My local bike shop had everything working perfectly in a day.

Perfect introduction to road cycling

This bike ticked all the boxes for me to get into cycling. Great setup that can be easily upgraded and at an affordable price. Only minor issue is indexing has been a bit tricky. States service was awesome. My first order was destroyed during shipping. They sent out a replacement immediately.

Boss!

Boss bike! It’s not as light as carbon fiber bike but it’s waaaaaayyyyy lighter than an aluminum bike. I like the 1x system because I mainly ride on flatlands with only moderate inclines. The components are pretty good. I will likely upgrade but for now they are working well. I feel like a speed demon on this bike. It’s super fast and the geometry is really comfortable and last but not least!! It looks like a super awesome, stealthy UFO. Sooooo incredible bike for the cost. Boom! Boss bike!

Awesome bike for the price and as always great service from the people at State Bike Co. Thanks again, Tony

Nice

After assembly grease the state parts are.of high quality my only nit pick is the wheels aren't a higher engagement and the hubs for rear aren't easy-to-use to pull free hub away and re grease there still using the older style 10mm Allen wrench but you can buy from State wheelset upgrades and tranmission aswell the bottom bracket is a press fit and the upgrade kit for the tranmission is a thread in so I bought that after reseving upgrades looking forward to see a wheelset from state with a high quality hub. Over all the undefeated is a fun build up bike 8 of ten for hubs and the bottom bracket keep up the great work from state bicycle company

Solid out of the box, even better with a few upgrades

This is the perfect "entry-level" road bike, but the quotes are there because it does not need to be limited to that. The frame, wheels and stock components are all excellent quality. On flatter rides, it's a perfect bike as is. To help with covering larger climbs, you can easily install the State 11-42 cassette and the larger All-Road 1 derailleur, which makes this a FAST road bike with an all-road bike's climbing abilities. I couldn't be happier with this bike after a 1,200km and few upgrades, with all parts also coming direct from State!

Undefeated Disc Road - Graphite / Prism
stealthy metallic paint combine with top of the range materials

The new Undefeated line-up has been re-engineered with Y9 aluminum, based on 6061 Aluminium but with added titanium, giving it improved hardness and tensile strength over its predecessor. This new-alloy composition allows for the thinnest possible wall thickness to be used, thereby reducing overall weight....now with disc brakes.
