WOW! Mind blown(slightly)

Let me start by saying I love bikes. I have been in this industry for 30+yrs. In my garage and shed(s)I have 20 bikes(+/-). The “wife” was in desperate need of a new bike. Her old craptastic Fuji 650 23c road bike triple(ewe, I know)has seen better days. It will definitely go to a good home. We ride TanDumbs most of the time(grovel, road and Mtb). So up pops the BikeRumor press release on the new State AllRoad/Gravel Ti bike. I read the story and immediately click bate to www.statebicycle.com. Read the specs on this bike and scratch what is left of my hair and blink a few times…$2500 for a Ti Frame bike?? Made off shore or not, that is a freaking steal! I literally stole this bike from State Bicycle Co. and they let me do it! W.T.F! How will they survive? By me yelling(and you)at the top of my lungs how great of deal(steal)this bike is. Sure ALL OF THE PARTS are branded State parts and products(great choice of tires btw).but they all work pretty darn good! I am thoroughly impressed by the build quality on this Ti frame. I know a guy(we ALL do)who can weld and I would put this bike up against his and day.
Nicely done State! Give yourselves a round of applause(or a keg of beer with the pile of cash you are going to make selling this bike!)
Listen for the burp from the seat area, a real fart:)

I cannot believe it.

I remember seeing my first Merlin in the 90s. Instant love, but insane pricing kept me from scratching my titanium itch for years. I’ve ridden a few since then and I will say that this frame is all that, the bag of chips, the brownie and the cute cashier’s number written on the receipt! Rides like a dream, went together effortlessly, the internal routing is clean and easy. The finish is top notch and I expect to be enjoying this beauty for many years to come. Rough math tells me that this is about a quarter of the price of that Merlin in the window from years ago, and that is just wonderful. Cannot recommend enough.
