WOW! Mind blown(slightly)

Let me start by saying I love bikes. I have been in this industry for 30+yrs. In my garage and shed(s)I have 20 bikes(+/-). The “wife” was in desperate need of a new bike. Her old craptastic Fuji 650 23c road bike triple(ewe, I know)has seen better days. It will definitely go to a good home. We ride TanDumbs most of the time(grovel, road and Mtb). So up pops the BikeRumor press release on the new State AllRoad/Gravel Ti bike. I read the story and immediately click bate to www.statebicycle.com. Read the specs on this bike and scratch what is left of my hair and blink a few times…$2500 for a Ti Frame bike?? Made off shore or not, that is a freaking steal! I literally stole this bike from State Bicycle Co. and they let me do it! W.T.F! How will they survive? By me yelling(and you)at the top of my lungs how great of deal(steal)this bike is. Sure ALL OF THE PARTS are branded State parts and products(great choice of tires btw).but they all work pretty darn good! I am thoroughly impressed by the build quality on this Ti frame. I know a guy(we ALL do)who can weld and I would put this bike up against his and day.
Nicely done State! Give yourselves a round of applause(or a keg of beer with the pile of cash you are going to make selling this bike!)
Listen for the burp from the seat area, a real fart:)

I cannot believe it.

I remember seeing my first Merlin in the 90s. Instant love, but insane pricing kept me from scratching my titanium itch for years. I’ve ridden a few since then and I will say that this frame is all that, the bag of chips, the brownie and the cute cashier’s number written on the receipt! Rides like a dream, went together effortlessly, the internal routing is clean and easy. The finish is top notch and I expect to be enjoying this beauty for many years to come. Rough math tells me that this is about a quarter of the price of that Merlin in the window from years ago, and that is just wonderful. Cannot recommend enough.

Dialed in for the Win!

I wanted to wait to write a review until I had a few rides under my belt. I did a 15-mile road ride; 30-mile gravel ride; and a 38-mile mixed terrain ride: pavement, single track, and forest trail. The bike performed splendidly! It was comfortable, stable, and not sluggish on 40 mm tires. The fit was dialed in relatively quickly.
State has managed to provide a quality ti bike at an economical pricepoint. Kudos to the company!

Titanium For Life

Having owned the 4130 and Carbon all-road, I feel I can confidently say the TI variant is my favorite. Combining the geometry of the 4130 and the lightness/ride feel of the carbon makes it a really fun ride! Glad I bit the bullet on this one!

Great experience so far!

I'm loving my new All Road Titanium Bike from SBC. After a professional assembly that included liners for my 700x47 tires, I went out for a "test ride."It wound up being an almost 40 mile ride because I was having so much fun! I went out again this morning and I continue to enjoy the feel of this bike. The SBC suspension fork really makes a difference on the rougher patches of gravel and I've hardly noticed some of the washboards that used to make my arms shudder and teeth rattle!
This is also my first set up with electronic shifting (I opted for the Apex Rival Axs Explr) and that has been a game changer. It's so smooth and quiet. I would say that I'm riding a bit slower compared to my old carbon all rounder. I have to work a bit more accelerating out of corners and downhill stretches don't aren't as quick. That said I'm more interested these days in just enjoying the time out riding and the comfort and confidence this bike provides is perfect for me.

The Ti All-Road is excellent

The State Ti All-Road has exceeded my expectations in every way. I ordered the complete bike with the Eagle GX AXS mullet, Enve AG25 wheels and Monster fork v2 upgrades. The frame itself is beautiful and the PVD finish and State decals look great. The welds appear to be immaculate. The Eagle GX AXS Mullet drivetrain was incredibly easy to assemble and setup. The AXS app makes it a breeze. I appreciate the UDH derailleur hanger, it's nice to have a standard hanger that should make finding spares easier if needed. The shifting is crisp and flawless. The wide gear ratio and the 50t dinner plate on the back is enough gearing for the terrain I like to ride, including a fair bit of steep Colorado single track. I've found plenty of top end gearing too, I've been no where near spinning out on flat or mellow terrain. The Enve AG25 wheel set is the nicest set I've ever owned. They are stiff yet compliant and get up to speed very quickly. I'm impressed. The tubeless setup was simple and a breeze with the already taped rims and included tubeless valves, I just added my own sealant. The Monster V2 carbon fork is upgraded compared to the V1 version that I have on my All-Road 6061. It has the same 3 pack mounting system, but the V2 now includes a flip chip to modify the offset to meet your preferred riding style and terrain. I'm running mine in the longer 55.5mm setting and it feels great. The longer setting of the fork when paired with the Ti All-Road's longer wheel base and tallish stack feels stable, fast, and compliant. The combination of the AG25's, Monster V2 Fork, and ride quality of the Ti frame and geometry is purely awesome. I've ridden 225+ miles in the first couple weeks of owning the bike, I've covered paved road and paved bike paths, smooth gravel, chunky gravel, and a few miles of local single track (some quite chunky) and the bike has handled it all exceptionally well. Simply said, the bike handles very well and goes where you point it. I've found the geometry and ergonomics to be comfortable on a couple of 50+ mile outings. When you combine the Ti frame material durability and light weight with modern endurance frame geometry the result here is a comfortable and stiff yet compliant ride quality that I've really been impressed with. I look forward to many years of adventures with this bike and you should too.
