Absolute steal for a dialed race bike

I had the pleasure of prototyping this frame in the past so I have 1.5+ years into this bike. It’s checked every box I could ever ask of a road bike and the price point is unbeatable… it’ll really make you question why other box bike brands charge so much!

There’s quite a few things that shine with this frame but the geo takes the top step for me- it’s not too long or too tall, perfect for a rider who wants something very similar to a Tarmac of Madone. The carbon is also very responsive and compliant.

I’m a team rider so this review is a little biased, though I think it’s an absolute steal for the price and I’m sure these will be highly sought after in the crit scene. Get yours!

This frame has been a great transition from a gravel bike. My first bike was a State 6061 All Road, I loved it but wanted to go faster. The undefeated has not disappointed. It’s light, stiff, and geometry helps me feel stable all around. The grommets for lines don’t quite fit as clean as I would like, but plenty of other options for less than 5 bucks.

Rips

The thing rips. It's got some VERY minor imperfections in the finish but is overall stunning, super light, and seemingly very responsive one long ride in.

SMOOOOOOTH SNAPPYYY STATEEEE

This thing rips!!! I've been on it for a month now and it is snappy, responsive, light and just wants to go! Love the color way, especially on tan side walls, the holographic logo's pop in the sun. The geo is super comfortable yet racy, the carbon feels as great of quality as any of the more expensive brands for a fraction of the cost! Love this bike!

Love it!

Frameset is sick! Super light weight and the shipping was fast. Only thing I could say is the packing could have been a little more secure but nothing was damaged

Four Months on the Carbon Undefeated

I bought the Undefeated back in February and purchased the Shimano Ultegra Di2 34 group set to go with it. I also threw in an Easton Aerobar and had everything ready to go by April. My local bike shop put everything together, and I've been riding it a few times a week this summer. The bike looks really great and rides fantastic and fast. I've beaten most of my segment PR's on my rides, especially the climbs. If I paired with climbing wheels instead of Aero, I'd continue to improve. With the Conti 5000 TR 28cm tubeless tires it's about as smooth as it gets.

I also get a lot of questions about the bike and the manufacturer: who, where, why, how much, etc. I really enjoy riding this bike and would highly recommend State Bicycle and the Undefeated Carbon.

5/5

Awesome frame. Built it up myself with an XPLR 1x12 and DT CR1600 wheels for ultra reliable long range multi-day road(ish) rides in the hilly and wet PNW. Stiff, light, comfortable and also feels good on light gravel.

An affordable amazing frameset!

In short: I can't recommend this frameset enough, it's really light, super affordable, and surprisingly easy to set up!
I got this frame and built it up with zero fuss except for minor things. The included cable guides made the setup process significantly easier since this frame has internal routing. I did have a few issues but they were mostly my fault. The main issue I had was using 32mm tires. They do fit, but if I go out of the saddle they do rub the frame, and I would say the limit of 30mm is accurate. It is worth noting that this is the only issue, everything else has been amazing! Even if there weren't those cable guides, it would still be pretty easy to set up the cabling because of a removable plate under the bottom bracket. This frame is so stiff and light that the only flex I feel is from my relatively cheap wheels, and I could probably shave a pound just with better wheels too.

The. State undefeated came fast and well packaged. It’s light and nimble. Finish is immaculate, tolerances were spot on, no issues with assembly.
