Lael Wilcox exudes positive energy and optimism. A world traveler, world-class athlete, and a world record holder, this native Alaskan started riding in 2008 at age 20 and the rest is history. Widely regarded as the best ultra-endurance rider in the world, her ever-growing resume includes:  winning the Trans Am Bike Race in 2016 (Overall) and setting Tour Divide's women's course record. She was the first American to win the Trans Am and also set the overall course record with her time on the Baja Divide route. In Episode 15, we head to Hood River, Oregon with State Bicycle Team rider Céline Oberholzer for a double-summit ultra-endurance episode that includes a special World Record attempt of our own.

To put our latest creation to the test, we asked the State Bicycle Co. team to saddle up and push the new 6061 All-Road bikes to the limit, riding trails and dirt roads from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon via the Arizona Trail. Episode 12, takes us to Colorado, where Lachlan has been training for a chat about the "new / alternative" approach to riding.

Biggie’s music has been the soundtrack to countless rides, hangs, and late-night work sessions in the State office.  

A few years ago, we linked up to do a project with the legendary Killer Mike (entrepreneur, activist, and rapper).  We made this custom 26" Big BMX Cruiser for him - and kept one for ourselves.  We've been sitting on the this for quite some time, so we decided to give-it-away to support, raise funds, and awareness for Los Angeles Bicycle Academy.

It's Springtime, and normally the State Bicycle Team's season would be in full swing. This year, the COVID-19 outbreak has put a pause on racing. Let's check in with the Team and see how some of our riders have been holding up over the last few weeks...

2/22/2020 - The State Bicycle Team rolled into our headquarters in Tempe, AZ to participate in our annual Phoenix to Tucson ride. Unfortunately, the weather had another plan. With flash floods the Phoenix to Tucson event got rained out. That didn't stop the team from getting some training in-town on Saturday, an epic 105+ mile ride on Sunday (fixed) followed by a legendary pizza-challenge.

Sammi Runnels (Squid Bikes) is a bad-ass. Plain and simple. She's done it all, from Red Hook Crit podiums on her fixed-gear, to becoming one of the most elite women in the world of cyclocross, and representing Team USA on a road bike, there isn't much she CAN'T do! Sammi's riding isn't all that grabs attention. Her supreme riding ability is matched by her keen eye for style. In Episode 11, Sammi Runnels reunites with her fellow Austinite, Samantha Wipff (State Bicycle Co.) in the ghost town of Jerome, AZ for a deep dive into adverse childhoods, bicycle sandwich delivery roots, professional DM sliding, and possibly the most unconventional way to secure an art school scholarship. They just might boldly convince you that Austin is the best city in this great country for women's cycling. We're not arguing.
