Don’t include titanium when it’s alloy

Titanium was mentioned and google picked it up and indexes it. It’s an alloy rail and those of us wanting ti are left feeling baited. I got it regardless as I only use these saddles since the 90’s. Just make sure to clean the description of false wording.

Super Saddle!

I purchased a Selle Italia - Flite 1990 Saddle (White) with my SBC 4130 8-speed bicycle as an upgrade to the SBC saddle that comes with the bicycle. The Selle saddle is superb with a good range of adjustments to dial in your comfort level. I’ve typically used Brooks saddles over the years, but this Selle is super comfortable and looks great, plus, I now also I have a great back-up saddle in the SBC branded saddle that came with the 4130. Thanks SBC for having such great accessory options for your Super Bicycles!

Great seat!

I've only put about 20 miles on it so far, but I think I've found my forever seat. Much more comfortable than others I've tried.

Hi SBC…
I couldn’t be happier! I received the bike even earlier that promised, and that was a real shock considering the shipping from the US to Qatar. Once received - I had the bike assembled by the local bike shop, and I was ready to give Fixed Gear riding a try.

Now, I used to ride a lot up until about 15 years ago, but work took me out of the country and I ended up never finding time or the place to ride. However, this time, I’ve landed in a place with a remarkable developing bicycle route system throughout the country, and felt it was time to get back to it.

As you can image, getting back on a saddle after such a long time, and being well over 55 years old… it took a little getting used to. Furthermore, add to that the fixed gear - of which I’ve never ridden, and can you imagine the funny sight I must have been.

It’s been a week, and multiple rides of increasing distances, and I’ve yet to fall off the bike or get run over by the crazy Qatari drivers in the speeding land cruisers. So, I have to say, I’m enjoying it more that I thought I would, and looking forward to increasing my skill level and distance in the weeks and months to come.

Thanks for a great product, and great service in the ordering and shipment. Again… I could not be happier with my purchase.

All the Best,
Ken

Stupid comfortable

I chose this saddle for my classic conversion for my new build on my Core-Line. I wanted something with simple lines but also a little retro. This saddle not only looks killer, it feels so nice to ride on for 4 mile or 40 miles. The rails being black to match the black cover makes it even better. The nose of this saddle had me thrown because I was worried that due to the shape of the tail that it would have to be pitched really far up or down to get it comfy; NOT THE CASE. The tail on this saddle is really nice because it gives you that comfort and padding you need without pushing you to your bars. A 5 Star product all around. I would highly recommend this product.

Great looking bike, quality have to see in the future.

Received the bike and it was pretty straight fwd to assemble it together. Not sure why I got two saddles and two pedals (ordered upgrade for the saddle and pedals). Had to adjust the brakes (pretty usual stuff), I did cut to shorten the t-bar, added SKS fenders, everything pretty straight forward.
After riding bicycle for three days, my left pedal started to feel loose and it fell off in the middle of my commute. Walked the rest of the way, when I got home, saw the crank was eaten up. Pedal was still solid, crank was gone. Put on a replacement crank and all good to go again. Will put in warranty claim,
All in all, nice bike to commute, need longer time to evaluate quality. Hopefully this crank issue was an exception.

Alloy rails

Having ridden both ti and alloy rails for years, the ride quality and feel are indistinguishable to me. There weight benefit with ti. The narrative is slightly misleading. I thought was buying ti but im not disappointed. Great dependable saddle

Classic Flite saddle for my bum

Bought the Flite 1990 saddle for a recent build because the original saddle fit my bum and provided comfort on my old Stumpjumper and Bianchi for years. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Great Vintage-Look Saddle

Great vintage-look Saddle at a reasonable price. Aluminum rails, not titanium, but still has the look I wanted for a late-80’s restoration.

The most popular saddle of the 90's was the Selle Italia Flite Titanium for several reasons. First, It was light, with a weight in the low 200 gram range. Second, many riders found the flatter shape more supportive and a better fit for aggressive riding. Third, the dense thin padding was more comfortable than the much heavier and over-padded saddles they were currently using. The padding is firm, but supportive and didn't promote heat or friction build-up. The titanium rails offered flex and passive suspension. In addition to comfort and low weight, it featured an attractive new look- low profile and svelte compared to other saddles of the day.

Unfortunately, in 2006-07 Selle Italia 'updated' the design and stopped producing this original Flite Ti saddle. While some riders liked the new Flite design many preferred the aesthetics, shape and comfort of the original. Many riders were stunned and sought them out far and wide. Selle Italia heard the desires of their long-term fans, and the original 1990 Flite was re-released again.
