Great Bike ... Ton of fun

I love my steel flat bar all-road even more than I thought. I had already built a frame only with our own components for my son but I bought a full build for myself and the components are better than I thought. The Sensah 1x11 is decently responsive and I love the two direction release shifter. The hydraulic brakes are perfectly good entry level hydraulic brakes superior to anything mechanical and with quite a bit of power when needed. The wheels are light but stable and I like the light handlebar. I got the 700c since this is an urban commuter and I like how the roll. The tire is not the fastest but decently quick and has good off-center grip in wintery situations. Last not least, the frame has a very short reach so the very first impression is a bit cramped but already on my second ride, I started to love the nimbleness that comes with that - it has the perfect slightly aggressive commuter feel.

Great Bike!

I saved hundreds getting a State bike. My $1600 Giant gravel bike didn’t come with sealed bearings and have cable disks. This $899 state bike comes with sealed hub gears and hydraulic disks.

I also have the State Klunker as a bar cruiser. Zero problems with ether bike.

Solid

The 4130 is such a SOLID value. The bike has a standard, classic geometry and as such is suited for many types of riding. The bike is versatile for use as a commuter bike, gravel bike or packing bike. The web site allowed me to configure the bike and the components in a way that would work for me and not have me replacing components to get the bike in my chosen configuration. Best of all it is just fun to though a leg over it...SOLID.

Raw Steel Care Advisory: Our raw steel bike frame, finished with a matte clear coat, showcases the beauty of steel in its purest form. Over time, this raw finish will naturally develop rust / patina. While our phosphate treatment and clear coat slow down rusting, maintaining your bike is essential to preserve its look. Please be informed that the warranty doesn't cover rust, and thorough maintenance is recommended for longevity. For complete care details and recommendations, click here.
