10/10 crankset

Coming from bmx racing and have had always used a super stiff crankset. I was looking for the biggest bang for the buck In terms of weight and stiffness. I decided to go with these not because of the aero gains but for the added stiffness of a aero crank. My first impressions out of the box were how light they were. I was expecting a little more weight, so I was hesitant on how they would perform under some sprint testing. I was also worried about the build quality coming from a relatively small and new company but I was pleasantly surprised when the cranks had almost no flex and were on par with a hollow forged race crank and were perfect in terms of build quality, not a single defect I could find. Also owning a state black label frame The Q factor gave me a perfectly straight chain line. Overall I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking for an extremely stiff crank for a great price. 11/10, amazing job state and Essor!

Seems like a solid crankset

I bought this crankset as an upgrade for my budget track bike build. I originally wanted Omniums but since they were sold out, this seemed to be the next best option. The machining and finish look great. I was originally concerned that this would not be the case because the left crank was loose inside the box when I received the package. My only issue with the install was dealing with super tight chainring bolts while swapping in a 51 tooth Mojo chainring. Even when loosened the bolts did not turn easily. Still giving 5 stars for bang for the buck.

Crank that’s built like steel

I purchased this crank for my custom track build after a ton of research, and trying to stay on a tight budget. This crank is absolutely incredible!! It is stiff as can be, has zero bottom bracket creak, and has really good bearings. A lot of the other reviews say that the included BB will creak. I made sure the threads on my BB were clean, greased the BB real good, and I haven’t had any issues with noise.
The crank arms are solidly built and have absolutely NO flex to them. The chainring is easy to swap for something bigger if you want, and the spindle fits really nice on the rings I have tried.
One thing I absolutely LOVE about this crank is the presence of two extra bolts on the non drive side arm, in addition to the securing nut. As a 6’8” giant that has broken a lot of parts riding, it gives me peace of mind to know that I have a few extra bolts to hold my crank together when I am whipping around the track.
Overall, if you are on the fence about purchasing this crank, don’t hesitate! I dare you to find a better built crank for the price……….you won’t! ;)

guper solid crankset but a subpar BB.

I had to replace the bracket almost immediately after installing the crank unfortunately. Super stiff and responsive crank but the bottom bracket keeps creaking.
