Be leary of these derailleurs

It's a ripoff of an already poor design, and it's totally proprietary so you can only get from this company. Nothing else out there will be compatible. So good luck to you when no bike shop has parts to service these.

Upgraded for 2023

Been waiting for the rear derailleur to come back in stock, and I'm glad I did. The current photo is out of date so the one I received has a new Chain Stabilizer in place of the lower spring screw adjustment. It looks great and the stabilizer feels beefy. Looking forward to replacing a Sram Rival and seeing how it performs, so will update with riding impressions soon.

Smooth…

This derailleur is was a great way to bring life back into my old SBC Thunderbird. I’ve been running it for several hundred miles paired with the State shifters. It has never missed a shift. I’ve ran everything from Shimano and SRAM and would put the shifting quality of the State product right up there with them. You may sacrifice a couple of grams on the higher end, but hey I typically rip one or two of these off of my gravel/cx bikes each year. Not exactly wanting to pay for the weight weenie stuff when I’m playing in the dirt. Great product, easy to set up too. You won’t be disappointed!

Good for the price.

Derailleur is good for the price, it is a little far annoying to index properly. But it works.

A great alternative for a 52th mountain bike

Easy to align on my mtb conversion - works well

Good derailleur but didn’t solve an issue

It seems with this 1x11 gear combo the biggest rear gear adds enough tension to the chain that backward pedaling while in the lowest few gears leads to the chain falling to smaller cogs more center. I bought this bike used and thought there was a possibility the derailleur hanger was bent or the chain was too short and replacements could solve the problem. But it didn’t. The bike is cool enough for me to just deal with the issue. I don’t know if it is a solvable issue or it’s just something I have to live with. I’m not a great mechanic but I did get it to shift pretty smoothly all the way through with a brand new chain. I also don’t know if this is normal. I’m really only used to a 2x10 gearing combo with campagnolo components so maybe I’m spoiled. It kinda bums me out but I won’t stop riding. It’s also pretty heavy. Other than that, It’s beefy and seems built to last. So it gets the job done and didn’t break the bank even if the purchase wasn’t necessary.

A defininte Improvement

I bought this to replace the original derailleur on my State 4130 All Road. The new derailleur is definitely more heavy duty. It was an easy swap, and adjustment. The bike shifts amazing so far. Very fast solid shifts. Very pleased so far.

Great deal on a 1x derailleur

These things are great, I now own two of them. They’re a State-branded Sensah derailleur and they shift perfectly and can handle an enormous cassette. Impossible to beat for the money, and State has awesome customer service.

Replacing Cassett and Derailleur

My 6061 Black Label All Road Bike is 3years old and I rode it mainly all around
the street of New York City which says a lot about its durability and the way it handles around obstacles and obstructions. The bike needed to be tuned up at this point. I took it upon myself to change out the cassett cog, derailleur and the two cables, one the brake cable the other the shifter and replace the chain. I ordered all replacement parts from State Bike Company. With a few basic bike tools all went well and the bike is riding like the first day I road it home. I own a couple of bikes and this one is becoming the more go to bike as time moves on. Compliments to the Crew at State Bike Company for having a great product at affordable prices. Chris thank you for your help with my part orders.
